Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HiringGym (the “Service”), a web application that lets you practice job interviews against fictional, AI-generated candidates and, on purchase, unlock a written report on your interview. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who operates the Service

The Service is operated by HiringGym (“HiringGym”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@hiringgym.com. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as our Merchant of Record- Paddle is the seller of record on your order and handles billing, invoicing, and sales tax, so Paddle’s legal identity and address appear on your receipt and card statement. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms shown at checkout.

2. What the Service is - and is not

HiringGym is an interviewer-training simulation. Every candidate, CV, company detail, and report is fictional and generated by AI for practice purposes. Candidates are not real people, CVs do not describe real individuals, and any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.

The Service does not provide hiring, recruiting, HR, employment, legal, or professional advice, and its reports and scores are not a basis for any real hiring, employment, or personnel decision. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, and you must not use the Service to evaluate, screen, score, or make decisions about any actual person.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared or resold.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate any person or entity.

4. Credits and purchases

  • The Service is credit-based. One credit unlocks one full report. Credits do not expire.
  • Prices are shown at checkout. Credits and reports are digital products delivered electronically.
  • Free practice interviews are offered subject to limits and anti-abuse controls we may change at any time. We may withhold or revoke free usage we believe is abusive.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to profile, assess, or make decisions about any real, identifiable person;
  • Attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, reverse-engineer, or extract hidden system prompts, candidate “secrets”, or model instructions from the Service;
  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service’s content, personas, or reports, or circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or the paywall;
  • Upload unlawful, infringing, hateful, or malicious content, or content containing another person’s personal data without a lawful basis;
  • Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.

6. Your content

You may provide input such as job descriptions, notes, and debrief text (“Your Content”). You keep ownership of Your Content and grant us a limited license to process it to operate the Service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate a report). Do not submit real candidates’ personal data or confidential information you are not permitted to share.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its personas, prompts, scoring methodology, software, and branding are owned by HiringGym and its licensors. The report generated for your session is provided for your own internal training use; you may keep and reference it, but you may not resell or publicly redistribute it as a standalone product.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate or fit for any purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HiringGym and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or hiring or employment outcomes, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive. Purchased credits that are revoked due to your breach are not refundable.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer.
